Valerie Thompson - The Racer
Two-Time Land Speed Record Holder
Valerie’s quick rise to the pinnacle level of competition in the professional NHRA Pro-Stock Motorcycle racing series in less than 3 years, reads like a Cinderella story. The progression she has made from a career in banking, to a competitor/team owner and two-time land speed record holder is a monumental accomplishment.
Valerie Thompson is a woman that loves a challenge, loves to ride, and has a gift for inspiring others. Valerie grew up in Tacoma, Washington and worked in the banking industry for over 13 years. Valerie then moved to Scottsdale, Arizona and quickly found the need for speed. She then decided to pursue her passion for drag racing and took it to the next level on a Harley-Davidson V-Rod Destroyer provided by Hacienda Harley-Davidson. Her determination and competitive nature made it clear to compete full-time.
As a proven racer and ambassador to the sport, Valerie competed two years in the All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA). In 2007, Valerie finished third in the Nation and placed second in the Western Division Championship - V-Rod Destroyer class. This strong team structure is poised for success in the 2009 NHRA Series.

Valerie's thoughts: "I have accomplished a lot in a short amount of time and I believe with all my heart I am going to be a success, but success takes time, effort, faith, and determination. We all have our dreams, but few are lucky enough to be living theirs. Some go thru their entire life looking for that dream. I found mine and so can you too...It's all up to you. Thanks Mom!"
